The Richardson and Smith libraries provide the materials necessary to support the research of students and faculty. Books, federal documents, maps, scores, recordings, and periodicals are on open shelves readily accessible to all. The two libraries contain approximately 400,000 items. In addition, the resources of the Internet, remote library catalogs, and more than 100 databases are available to the researcher. Highlights of the special collections include Texana, Fine Printing, and nineteenth and twentieth century classics.
